POSITION OVERVIEW:
WSS is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Finance team. As the Senior Analyst of Marketing Effectiveness, you will play an essential role in supporting the Marketing, Planning, and Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) functions by forecasting and recapping merchandise promotions and marketing activities, including media and promotional event performances, to inform future strategy. You will use KPIs and data-driven analysis to provide insights and recommendations that will help grow the business and improve spend efficiency. The ideal candidate is eager to learn; can manage, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced work environment; has intellectual curiosity and a strong work ethic; and takes pride in his/her work. This role reports to the Manager of Company Planning and sits within the Finance organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (May include but not limited to the following):
- Develop Excel models and processes to ensure data influences decisions at all levels within various marketing efforts
- Collaborate with Marketing team to drive actionable plans, enabling business growth through efficient and profitable spending
- Develop strong cross-functional relationships to become a key thought partner to both Marketing and other cross functional stakeholders across all levels of the organization
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives to drive continuous improvement
- Perform analysis of promotional performance to plan and prior year
- Provide analytical guidance using Traffic, Conversion, and Customer KPIs to define success.
- Lead the monthly financial forecast and annual plan for marketing spend
- Ad hoc analysis, as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of Retail Analyst experience required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Intermediate Excel knowledge and experience; advanced preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proven analytical capabilities with KPIs and other business metrics
- Extreme attention to detail
- Able to work both independently and in teams
- Collaborative and quickly develops productive relationships with key internal stakeholders
- Project management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task
- Embraces a culture of continuous improvement
